This guide will teach you the basics in a number of small, interactive steps.
The best way for beginners to start to the game is to master Texas Hold’em. Over the past 10 years this has become the most popular form of poker in the world.
Poker is a game of your best five cards whatever version you play.
The standard deck of cards you play with has 52 cards in it, arranged in 4 suits:
Hearts | Diamonds | Clubs | Spades
Ace is the high card in poker with the deuce being low.
In poker, the suits have no ranking, they are equal.
1. An xRound - the round where each player either uses or doesn’t use 1 or more of their xCards happens at the CONCLUSION of each normal betting round on all streets & pre-op.
2. Action in xRounds follows normal betting round position - i.e. in the pre-op xRound the player opposite the Button (the Big Blind) plays an xCard rst, and the Button (the Dealer) plays their xCard last.
3. xCards that change community boards MUST be played on the street where the card being changed is located. (i.e. - op cards can only be changed after normal op action but before turn is dealt, and etc.)
